“ Oh man, this place is super authentic. The food was quick to come out and was the perfect temperature. Our waiter was super nice. The cheesecake was absolutely freaking amazing. I could have eaten it until I went into a diabetic coma. Tasted like my grandmother was in the back cooking. ”
“ This was my first visit to Hildegard’s. My son and grandson also accompanied me. We all ordered different dishes and everyone loved what they got. My grandson wasn’t real fond of the red cabbage, but me and my son ate it up! Our AirTran’s was very attentive and answered all of our questions and was sssssooooo sweet! Can’t remember her name - sorry. It was a great meal and we will be back. Although it is a small establishment- it was really cozy and we didn’t feel cramped. ”
“ Great food, brought me back to being in Germany. Had Bavarian Schnitzel with the Jaeger gravy, pan seared potatoes, spetzle with bratwurst on the side. Wait staff was short on people but the 2 of them were constantly on the move. Alexandria was friendly and attentive. Portions were big enough to get 2 meals from it. ”
“ Whether you get the veal, pork, or chicken schnitzel, your tummy will be happy! The schnitzels cover almost the entire plate, and you get your choice of two delicious sides. Very authentic potatoes, kraut, and sausages. With reasonable prices and convenience to downtown, you can't beat this German outpost. Don't expect frills. Simple plastic table toppers and no background music to speak of, but the filling German fare is what you come for, anyway. If you're extremely lucky, Jessica will be your server! She is outstanding and super friendly. When you have a hankering for German cuisine, check out Hildegard's! ”
“ I received a gift card for our wedding anniversary and we were pleasantly surprised by the food and service here. This is one of our new top spots to eat and have dessert/drinks. We ordered a huge platter to share which included chicken schnitzel, spatzel, polish sausage, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, and stroganoff. We also had wine and Black Forest cake. The chicken was deliciously thin and crispy, the sausage was juicy and flavorful, the potatoes were just the right amount of creamy. The atmosphere was friendly and casual, our server answered every question we had and even suggested his favorite dishes. We have nothing but great things to say. Definitely worth a try and we can’t wait to come back! ”
“ Wanted something different on a business trip so we selected Hildegard’s. We were all VERY impressed! The food was outstanding! We sampled several of the appetizers: Pretzel & Beer Cheese, Asparagus Rolls, Goulash, and Kabob. All of it was great! I got the Bavarian Schnitzel and simple wow! It was so good, tender, and flavorful! I had the fried potatoes and kaespaetzel (german pasta salad) which were both delicious. The food all of my other coworkers had was equally good. I would highly recommend if you’re looking for some German food or just something different! ”
“ Our experience with waitress & kitchen staff was a good experience and worth noting. My sister treated my wife & I to dinner Saturday night. She made a good selection for dinner. At the time we were there a few ingredients that they were out of but substitutions made the meal just as delicious. I chose the Asparagus soup having a bowl for my main course and a side of sauerkraut, I chose to also add a salad as a starter, as Southerner’s do I chose sweet tea w/ lemon. All of my meal was delicious. I don’t remember the names of what my wife or sister selected but saw they enjoyed theirs as well, I did get a small taste of my wife’s potatoes & gravy that was good tasting I’ll order that side next time. I also tried a bit of my sister’s order, with it being pork and with my dietary restrictions I won’t be able to enjoy a whole order of it, tasting was a good way to enjoy the flavors. With the desert menu and with not much room left we decided to split a slice of white chocolate raspberry cake, that was delicious also. We will put this restaurant on our list of favorites and will return again soon. I guess I was off my game tonight as I didn’t take photos of any the meal items. If you know about my love for pictures you know it was an off night for me, I guess the setting, company I was with, and seeing photos of a trip abroad taken by my sister were plenty enough to forget to click some pictures. I hope to remember next time so you can see you need to give Hildegard’s a try if you’d like to. ”
“ We out to dinner with our family of four on Tuesday night. The host was very accommodating to us with our young kids. We all had schnitzels and enough for left overs. The Chicken Berlin Schnitzel with mashed potatoes and red cabbage. ”
